Vaccinations for Cats and Dogs
Determining what vaccination is needed is determined by your veterinarian personally discussing your pet’s lifestyle, vaccination history and age.
We recommend that dogs should be vaccinated against viral infection from Distemper and Parvo virus four times in the first year of your dog’s life and have an initial vaccination against rabies when your dog is 16 weeks old.
Your dog will receive another rabies vaccination during his or her annual exam and once every three years thereafter. Distemper and Parvo Virus vaccinations are given every other year following the initial vaccination period.
We recommend that cats are vaccinated against Feline Leukemia and Distemper four times in the first year of their lives and rabies at 16 weeks of age. Your cat will receive another rabies vaccination during his or her annual exam and once per year thereafter. Feline Leukemia vaccinations and Distemper vaccinations are given every other year following the initial vaccination period.
